Intermediate to Advanced  ||  Blackwork

This beautiful design of a gourd attached to a trailing vine and leaves is stitched in a variety of outline and Blackwork fillings. Shading techniques, varying the number of plies used, enhance this design.

Design Area: 23 x 58 cm (9 x 23 inches)

Ground Fabric: 24 to 32 count Belfast linen or any evenweave fabric – cut 33 x 69 cm (13 x 27 inches)

Thread: Pearl cotton #8, DMC floss, basting thread and pattern transfer supplies

Time: 4 months
