Description
Technique Study course by Barbara Kershaw
This course is designed to introduce and teach some of the many varied styles and techniques for creating hems and edges for embroidery. Most pertain to hand-embroidered hems and edges (for linen work embroidery). It will not cover machine-made hems or edges for things like garments, pillows or cushions. It also does not cover hems or edges for canvas embroidery. The course is eight lessons in length, with each lesson covering a different topic and technique. You will create samples of different hems and edges, which will be mounted on presentation pages for a reference binder. You will also be encouraged to find additional methods and add samples of your findings to your notes.

This course is AMAZING! There was a lot of work involved, but well worth it. Feedback from Barbara is very well explained. One of the best courses I’ve ever taken and I am constantly going back to review my notes. I highly recommend it.
