Canadian Wildflowers combines Hardanger, pulled thread and surface embroidery techniques. Some familiarity with the three techniques will be useful. Stitches used include Rhodes, floral motif, open trellis, cable stitch and buttonhole stitch, to name a few. Clear stitch diagrams and photographs are included in the instructions provided. Also included is a supply list with the colour choices used in this project.

Ground Fabric: 28-ct Cashel linen-example is “cream” by Zweigart, cut 13″ x 13″

Thread: Caron Wildflowers (3 colours required – one main colour for border & Klosters; 2 complimentary colours for flowers, leaves & vines), pearl cotton #12

Skill Level: Intermediate

Text:  The text is approximately 27 pages, available electronically (PDF) only

Time:  Five (5) lessons provided every two weeks on the 1st & 15th of each month
