ONLINE PROJECT STARTS: NOVEMBER 1, 2024

Gossamer Sparkle Butterfly has opened her wings to show off her sparkles. Her upper wings are chipped and laid with organza, sparkles and pearl purl. This project allows students to explore the use and application of traditional Goldwork materials and be guided through design transfer.

Design: 3¾” x 3”  (10cm x 7.8cm)

Time:  Three lessons, monthly November 1, December 2, 2024 and January 2, 2025; and extra assistance until February 28, 2025

Stitching Requirements: #10 beading needle; chenille needle; 6″ embroidery hoop; goldwork scissors or any other to cut the gold threads; sharp embroidery scissors; beeswax (optional)

Fabric and Threads: Satin or silk in black, red or white 10″ x 10″ (25.5cm x 25.5cm); muslin 10″ x 10″ (25.5cm x 25.5cm), pearl purl, smooth purl, bright check purl, very fine pearl purl, spangles, Rose Montees, seed beads, gold sewing thread

Option A:  Electronic delivery of instructions (19 pages) only – $100 CAD
