Resolving Conflict with Others

  • Meet with the member face-to-face in a “friendly” setting (such as having coffee together)
  • Listen to the member’s concerns and points of view
  • Use words like “I am concerned about…”; “our common goal is to find the best solution for the greatest number.”
  • Use positive reinforcement instead of criticism – give small favours to members in recognition/thanks/appreciation of the member being part of the chapter.
