Description

Bold, bright, and a little bit mischievous, this project invites you to explore the sparkle of Japan gold thread and the tactile joy of French knots. Trapunto stuffing lifts the curves just enough to bring the silhouettes to life.

Quick to stitch and full of personality, it’s a delightful dip into goldwork and mixed‐media embroidery.

Basic knowledge of tracing a design, mounting fabric and couching threads is required when working with the minimalistic instructions.

Design size: 5 x 3.5 inches (12.75 x 9cm)

Fabric and Threads: Cream ultra suede and white or cream broadcloth/muslin 20.5 x 20.5cm (8 x 8″), #5 or #7 Japan Gold thread, gold couching thread, embroidery floss

Supplies:  #7 or #8 sharp needle, #20 chenille needle, quilt batting and fibrefill
