Description
The Candlelight table runner perfectly captures the light, balanced elegance that defines traditional Hardanger, unfolding into a piece that feels both timeless and fresh. Its geometry moves through klosters, cable and Smyrna stitches, soft satin stitch motifs and airy openwork, shaped by wrapped and woven bars and the gentle spokes of spider stitches. A delicate, lacy buttonhole edging frames the runner with delicate refinement, giving the whole piece a crisp, graceful finish. Students may follow their own palette or echo the artist’s choices to capture the same luminous presence.
