EAC/ACB offers projects in a variety of formats to members and non-members.
Cyber Projects
A Cyber Project is a fun and convenient way to stitch an embroidery design from the comfort of your own home, with the support of a knowledgeable designer and the encouragement of a like-minded community. There are no live classes to attend. You’ll have access to a series of PDF lessons that will guide you step by step through the project.
What You’ll Receive
- Lessons in PDF format are posted on the Groups.io platform at scheduled intervals.
- The number of lessons and the timing between them are set by the designer and vary from one project to another (schedule example: 4 lessons, posted every 2 weeks).
- You can download the lessons and print them if you like (please note that no printed instructions are mailed).
- Some designers may offer kits (either optional or required), which are mailed directly to you in time for the first lesson. If no kit is offered, you’ll receive a supply list so you can gather your own materials or use your stash.
Community and Support
- Each project group offers a chat space where you can connect with the designer and fellow stitchers. You can also share photos of your progress in order to get specific feedback and comments from the designer and support from other participants along the way. You’ll get to see how others are interpreting the project, too!
- The designer will check in regularly to answer questions and offer guidance, from the first lesson and until 30 days after the final lesson.
Who are Cyber Projects For?
Cyber Projects are a great fit for stitchers who enjoy structure and community but prefer not to worry about attending live classes at set times. You’ll receive step-by-step lessons to follow at your own rhythm, along with thoughtful guidance from the designer and a welcoming space to connect with fellow embroiderers. It’s a flexible way to learn, share, and stitch together from wherever you are.
Projects provide a project with clear instructions and stitch diagrams unavailable commercially. Individuals or groups can take the Projects. These projects can be used as a workshop or program within your local Chapter. These projects are offered in various embroidery styles.
