Intermediate – Contemporary Punto Antico Embroidery

A companion piece to Kathryn’s Bliss, Joy showcases the beautiful techniques of punto antico embroidery (also known as Italian cutwork). The finished piece is a delightful square design, perfect for a frame or box top. This project is suited to stitchers with experience working on linen, reading stitch diagrams and cutting fabric threads in needlework.
Stitches: Four-sided stitch, alternating stem stitch, bullion knots, overcast stitch, wrapped bars, woven bars, buttonhole stitch, large woven motif
Design: 6⅛” x 6⅛” (15.5 cm x 15.5 cm)
Supplies: 32-count linen, DMC floss, #8 and#12 pearl cotton, Waterlilies by Caron, glass beads
