Description
A charming little project that introduces the beginner to a variety of stitches and threads used in canvaswork embroidery. The birdhouses are all in a variety of shapes, colours and stitches assembled into a sweet housing community. You can use the suggested fibres or personalize the project from your stash.
Design Area: 7 x 9 inches (17.75 x 22.8cm)
Ground Fabric: 18 count mono canvas (white or any other light shade) – cut 12 x 14 inches (30 x 32.5cm)
Thread: Pearl cotton #3 and #5, DMC floss, Caron Watercolors, Caron Waterlilies and Caron Impressions
Stitches Used: Smyrna, cashmere, Hungarian, Gobelin, Florentine, shell, tent, double brick, rice, cross stitch and flat stitch variations
Time: 3 months
