This placemat project is ideal for stitchers with some experience working on even-weave fabric and the following techniques: counted cross stitch, counted threadwork, or blackwork.

Description

The stitches in the design are straight Klosters, staircase Klosters, eyelets, ships, cable stitch, reverse cable stitch, buttonhole edging, fringe edging, herringbone stitch, cutting woven bars, dove’s eyes, and square fillets. Finishing instructions are included.

Design Area: 52 x 26 cm (20½ x 10¼ inches)

Supplies: 22-count fabric: Hardanger or ariosa cut 69 x 41 cm (27 x 16 inches), pearl cotton #5 and #8, and one skein of the Caron Collection Watercolors®, if desired
