Threads & fabric needed:
- 25 cm X 25 cm (10″ x 10″) ivory satin or silk fabric
- 2 × 25 cm X 25 cm (10″ x 10″) white/natural muslin*
- DMC cotton embroidery floss
- off-white rayon thread
- Kreinik blending filament
- Sewing thread to match background
Other supplies:
- Mill Hill beads
- 50 cm (20″) 26/28 gauge unwrapped wire
- #8 or #10 crewel embroidery needle
- #8 or #10 straw/milliner needle
- #26 tapestry needle
- #20 chenille needle
- beading needle
- 2 × 10 cm (4″) hoops
- pencil for tracing
- embroidery scissors
- old scissors or wire cutters to cut wire
- pliers or tweezers to shape wire
* one of the muslin pieces can be replaced by smaller pieces of green, black, and natural/ecru cotton for the detached elements (leaf, butterfly, pod)
