Description
This 4-lesson course over 6 months is designed to provide you with the fundamentals of hemstitching and its stitches through charts and exercises. Hemstitching is a functional way to finish your embroidery and can also be used to secure a fabric edge next to a fringed edge. You will be introduced to ladder hemstitch, cross-stitch hemstitch, herringbone hemstitch, and many others as you learn, step by step, to create beautiful edging techniques.
At the end of each lesson, you will provide photographs of all your work to your counsellor via email or a file-sharing service (such as Dropbox or Google Drive). Your counsellor will assess your work and provide feedback to help you improve.
No research is required for this introductory-level course. You are sampling some of the stitches involved in this technique while you work on a small project.
