In 3rd: EGP’s Endless Scene: Out for a Walk

Embroiderers’ Guild of Peterborough’s entry in the Seminar Group Project Award placed third in the voting. Endless Scene: Out for a Walk is a myriorama that can be arranged in many ways to create an endless scene. Fourteen EGP members each made a panel for this pleasant stroll.

From the EGP entry statement:

In the September 9, 2022, issue of Inspirations All Stitched Up! newsletter, there was an article and photos of a myriorama done by the Herts Textile Arts and Stitch Group in the UK.

We wanted to do a group project and were inspired by this one. It allowed members of different skill levels and interests to all work on a similar theme.

A member provided scraps of linen. The path entry and exit points marked were by the program committee. All pieces are the same size.

Members were free to create whatever scene they chose. We had a fabric dyeing/painting play day earlier in the year, so the fabric in many pieces has been painted.

I agree! It has inspired me to start a design for a myriorama with some of my childhood memories featured along the trail.
