Description

Discover the beauty and precision of tambour beading in a beginner‑friendly project designed to help you build strong, foundational skills. You’ll learn how to handle the crochet (tambour hook), form the basic chain stitch, and apply beads, bugles, and sequins with growing control and ease. Each stage is explained carefully so you can develop confidence through steady, guided practice.

This project focuses entirely on technique. There’s no final design to complete, giving you the freedom to concentrate on mastering the movements, rhythm, and control that make tambour beading so distinctive. It’s a dedicated skill‑building experience that sets you up for success in future projects.

You’ll receive clear written instructions, have access to videos, and take part in two live online sessions with Stephanie. In these sessions, you’ll see the technique demonstrated up close, ask questions as you work, and benefit from real‑time coaching that supports your progress.

Schedule: The project runs from March 31st, 2027 to May 12, 2027

Kit Contents:  high quality hook, no. 70 needle, organza x 2, spools of “fil a gant” x 2, beads, bugles and sequins.

Supplies: hoop with one of the rings bound in size 20 cm to 25 cm (8″ to 10″), stand to hold the hoop and work with both hands, beading/goldwork velvet board, fine pins, embroidery scissors
