Supplies: In addition to the usual embroidery tools and supplies, you’ll need 41cm (16”) square of plain weave linen, crewel wool – 3 values of 2 floral colours, 3 values of green, and 1 gold, #3 or #4 crewel needles, #22 or #24 tapestry needles, two pairs of stretcher bars 38cm (15″), or a large embroidery hoop.
Stitches: stem or outline stitch, herringbone, fishbone, chain, fly, French knot, Palestrina, buttonhole, buttonhole wheel, satin stitch, battlement couching, long & short, whipped
