Description
The techniques for this design include canvaswork and Florentine stitches, both worked in unusual ways. The stitches chosen for this design include four-way Florentine, Greek key, diagonal flint arrows, and adorable turtles, among others.
Design: 11¾” x 12¼”
Supplies: 18-count mono canvas cut 18″ x 18″, #5 pearl cotton, #12 Kreinik braid, embroidery floss, and Rainbow Gallery’s Fyre Werks and Petite Very Velvet are the suggested threads to create the wonderful texture of this embroidery—approximately $80 for minimum supplies.
Time: 4 months
