Librarian Natalie Dupuis shares a peek inside two of the books in the LLNA Library written by Thomasina Beck.
Gardening With Silk and Gold: A History of Gardens in Embroidery was published in 1998. This book explores how gardens have been depicted in embroideries.
Another of Beck’s books in the library is The Embroiderer’s Story: Needlework from the Renaissance to the Present Day (1995). This book covers the evolution of embroidery from the Renaissance and how it has been depicted in paintings over the same period.
