With the support of CPSA London, Rasha established the Palestinian Tatreez Club in London, Ontario, where she held weekly sessions to teach others the art of tatreez and pass down its cultural and historical significance.

Rasha led the “Threads of Diaspora” project, collaborating with the Canadian Palestinian Social Association in London and the Canada Palestine Cultural Association in Edmonton on the London edition of the initial project. This tatreez community initiative resulted in the creation of 120 pieces of collective artwork to be added to the Edmonton tapestry, involving the participation of 22 women from diverse cultural backgrounds. It worked closely with skilled Palestinian designers in the community to celebrate and preserve this traditional craft. This beautiful tapestry has been featured on CBC.

Rasha continues to support charitable causes, notably raising funds for organizations such as Glia, a medical solidarity organization that empowers low-resource communities to build sustainable, locally driven healthcare projects.

Most recently, she was invited as a guest lecturer at King’s College, where she presented on Palestinian tatreez and its significance as a form of resistance, sharing its stories and legacy with a wider audience.

Rasha is a proud Palestinian-Canadian living in London, Ontario.
