Condition: Very Poor
Description of condition:
Material deterioration throughout has many holes including the edging.
Top and bottom are rolled hem stitched with thread the same colour of the fabric. The left and right have some kind of stitch to hold the edging like a selvedge and is stitched in black
Colours of threads – light blue, olive green, silver grey, red, dark and light browns, black, linen colour
Border is a large floral vine with an outer straight stitch triangle border.
Motifs
Middle seems to be a birdhouse or other pole architecture with a weather vane on top. The structure has dogs, squirrels on it.
On either side of the structure are 2 ladies on a platform.
Under the verse is a line of 5 trees and at the bottom a row of 3.
Next row has 2 oak trees with acorns and 2 birds.
Next row has 2 bucks.
At the bottom on either side of the middle trees are 2 oak trees with acorns.
Under the date is a scroll divider.
