Verse

A stitch in time saves time.

The 4 different waves motifs separate the first row of alphabet to the second row, the upper case second row to the and the lower case row, then from numbers area and the verse, and lastly, from the verse and the stitcher’s information.

No motifs.

Sampler has finished hem edges that can be seen at the top of the sampler based on how it is framed.  Could not determine how the hemming was accomplished as even with a magnifying glass no stitch showed through to the front.  I checked for a thread to have been perhaps pulled from an edge to then tack the hem or a sewing thread.  The Cross Stitch border is below the edge of the hemming.  Nothing at all can be seen.  It is just neatly hemmed in some fashion.

Wool definitely appears to be variegated and not just faded.  The same colour changes appear. Very easily seen in the green border.
