The dates and times for the virtual classes are now available. Virtual classes will take place in May, June and July 2026 following the in-person portion of Seminar 2026.

Virtual class kits will be available for pick up at the seminar. For those who can’t pick up their kits in person, shipping will be arranged from Vancouver.

Combine blackwork and canvas embroidery to create your own simple garden panel with a subtle embellishment from lovely metallic threads. You will learn all the stitches required to complete the design and interesting ways to play with colour to completely alter the look of your final piece.

Stitched on 24-count congress cloth, Grace’s Garden is a tribute to a stitching friend of Ann-Marie’s who was a passionate lover of embroidery, especially evenweave techniques.

Love the design, but not fully on board with the colour palette? You are welcome to choose a favourite colour from Ann-Marie’s range, and she will prepare a custom thread set based on your selection.

Virtual Class Schedule: Access to Ann-Marie’s Thinkific platform so that you can watch the lessons at your own convenience and review them as needed. Plus four 2-hour Zoom Q&A sessions on Saturdays: May 23, 30, June 6 and 13 at 4 p.m. Pacific, 5 p.m. Mountain, 6 p.m. Central, 7 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Atlantic, 8:30 p.m. Newfoundland. Online Zoom hours are shorter, as the sessions are designed to answer questions and provide a check-in.

Bring your goldwork skills to this class! Stitch this gorgeous little blue bird while learning padding techniques, couching using both passing and pearl purl, silk shading, and essing.

While stitching this striking silver and gold mask, you will learn bump padding, making sharp points with your goldwork threads, couching purls and essing. You will add beads, sequins and crystals as you create your own stunning mask. You will add navette crystals as one of the final touches.

As you stitch your sea star, you will learn the basics of boutis and optional stitches and several finishing options. While the technique is basic and straightforward, it is the application of the technique that makes boutis unique.

During class, Elizabeth will share the history and background of this unique type of French needlework.

All boutis-specific materials, including a comprehensive manual required to finish the project successfully, are included in the kit. Framing fabric is not supplied.

In beading, the peyote stitch is a versatile stitch that can be used to make tubes for many items such as fobs or pen covers, shaped objects and jewelry.

In this class, you will learn all about the adaptable peyote and use it to make a tasselled scissor fob. Peyote is an easy stitch to learn, even if you have never beaded before. You can choose black and white or silver and blue for your fob.
Spend a relaxing day learning a new technique and creating a beautiful, useful object.

Create this sophisticated tree suitable for the holidays. You will use variegated threads to stitch Grace, Hope and Cheer on a twill base fabric. Beads and Kreinik metallic braids add sparkle to this elegant design.

You will learn how to mount your work to create the three-dimensional tree shape. In-class instructions will also be provided on how to create the beaded tree top.
