The Lotus Drop is a teeny, tiny lotus box flipped upside down and made into an ornament. It can also be made into a box. You will stitch your lotus drop using Ukrainian whitework stitches: satin stitch, double cable stitch and eyelets. There is a bit of pulled work stitching, too! This little charmer is just two inches square when flat. Time will be given to learn all the necessary stitches in class. The finishing is super simple, using only backstitch and whipstitch. This will be covered fully in class, but you will finish yours at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focal point of this beautiful box is the luscious bunch of grapes surrounded by dimensional tendrils, leaves, and golden accents. You will work all aspects of the grape cluster while learning many useful stumpwork techniques, such as creating a detached wired element, wire wrapping, and several useful surface stitches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This design uses stranded cotton, metallic thread, and beads on a silk background. The kit comes complete with the box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
