This project consists of a small ornament and the box that contains it. Each side of the box (including the top and bottom) depicts a different view of the same ornament. After stitching the ornament, students will learn about perspective while stitching the box. Fibres used are Caron Watercolours, perle cotton and metallic braid. Students will learn about constructing three dimensional shapes from flat canvas pieces.
Size of Design Area: 3” x 3” x 3″; 3″ x 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″
Ground Fabric: 18 count mono canvas, cut 11″ x 13″ and 7″ x 10″
Threads used in the project: Caron Watercolours,#5 DMC perle cotton & #8 Kreinik braid
Skill Level: Suitable for Beginners

Kit Contents: Canvas, threads, Iron on interfacing, Lining fabric, Tapestry needles, Ribbon
Time: Three (3) Months: three (3) lessons every two weeks; June 3 – July 2, 2024 and extra assistance until August 31, 2024.
Students will supply:
- Stretcher bars 11″ x 13″ and 7″ x 10″
- Tacks or staples
- Beeswax or Thread Heaven thread conditioner
- Fibrefill stuffing
- Mat board
Miscellaneous: Students have a choice of 2 kitted colorways. The box can be finished with soft sides or firm sides
