This delightful beginner/intermediate Canvaswork design can be worked in the suggested colours, colours of your own choice, or have fun with it as a “Stash Buster Project”. Play with stitches such as Nobuko, Rhodes and Eyelets, Smyrna Crosses and Variations, a Florentine Ribbon pattern, and multiple Crescent Stitches. The student will gain confidence in laying threads and compensating stitches.
Size of Design Area: 8″ x 8″
Ground Fabric: 18-count mono canvas in Antique Blue, cut 14″ x 14″
Thread: 9 colours of DMC floss, 2 colours of DMC #8 Perle Cotton, 3 colours of Kreinik #8 Braid, 1 skein of Caron Collection Wildflowers, and 1 card of Rainbow Gallery Petite Sparkle Rays
Other Supplies: Embroidery scissors, #24 Tapestry needles, laying tool, 2 sets of 14″ stretcher bars, masking tape and brass tacks
